Anna and Louay talk about tests which can help you find out about your ancestors.
3 years ago in the UK, new DNA tests went on sale. The companies which sell the tests say you can use them to find out more about your ancestors.
They compare your genes with genes of other people around the world. You can find out if you have ancestors from different countries.
The tests cost between £99 and £200 in the UK - that's up to £400 US dollars. You send the company a sample of your saliva and they test it against their records.
Some people think the tests might not be very accurate. The deputy editor of Genealogy magazine in the UK sent off for 3 DNA tests from different companies. She got 3 different results - one showed she had Spanish ancestors, another showed East Asian and the last one showed her ancestors came from the Eastern Mediterranean region.
If you have access to public records - like wedding and birth certificates you can find out more about your ancestors.
